This item, we believe, should to be in the possession of nearly everyone learning to use the scythe because, without good live instruction and considerable practice, few beginners manage to do a good job of edge bevelling while peening “freehand” on the anvil.

Description

This jig is painted (not to perfection), with hardness over 55 HRC and with polished cap faces (improved by ScytheWorks).

No specialized hammer is required; any common one weighing at least 500-600g will work.
