While holding a scythe demo in the village near Varanasi, India (Dec 2017), we came across a rice field with a dense stand. Strong winds caused the crop to lie down on all four sides.
As you can see in the video, a scythe dealt with this circumstance quite effectively. It is also evident that technique and skill has a notable effect on the final result.
